Using 5G for logistics, JD.com is not the only player, and e-commerce logistics companies such as Cainiao and Suning are also piloting 5G technology. Nowadays, the "Double 11" exam is imminent, and a better logistics experience is the most important task and the best time to win customers. But the technology of 5G is not yet mature, and it is still unknown whether all forces can play "black technology".

When 5G meets logistics

After 12 years of building logistics, JD intends to cut into the 5G track. Jingdong Logistics Group CEO Wang Zhenhui said that Jingdong Logistics has been exploring and landing on 5G and IoT applications with China Unicom (6.140, -0.02, -0.32%), China Telecom and China Mobile. Relying on the deep integration of 5G+Internet of Things+ artificial intelligence, Jingdong 5G Intelligent Logistics Demonstration Park can realize the interconnection of all people, machines, vehicles and equipment, including automatic driving, automatic sorting, automatic Inspection, etc. In addition to Beijing Asia No. 1 Intelligent Logistics Operation Center, Asia No. 1 Warehouse in Dongguan is also undertaking the construction of 5G Intelligent Logistics Park.

JD.com’s high-profile demonstration of 5G logistics technology is also creating momentum for the upcoming "Double 11". Facing the annual test, various logistics companies are ready to go. On September 27, China Express Association cooperated with 11 mainstream express companies including State Post Bureau, China Post, Zhongtong, Yunda, Shentong, Yuantong, Baishi, SF, Debon, etc. to officially launch the 2019 Tmall "Double" with Tmall and Cainiao. 11" Logistics preparation for the global carnival.
