Two bulk carriers collided in the Marmara Sea!
According to reports, around 10:30 U.S. International Coordinated Time on May 18, the bulk carrier "PERSENK" collided with the general cargo ship "AHMET" in the Marmara Sea, located on Marmara Island and Tequidag Between Hong Kong. Both ships sailing towards the Dardanelles reported damage. PERSENK turned to Tekordag immediately after the collision and broke down around 1230 UTC, sailing at low speed or being towed. AHMET came to stb and drove in the direction of Hoskoy. After making a sharp turn in Hoskoy, it seemed to be heading towards Tekirdag Anchorage (Tekirdag anchorage) and the speed was slowing down.
PERSENK is currently on the way from Istanbul to Ashdod and AHMET CAN is on the way from Istanbul to Izmir.
