Classification and basic transportation requirements of live products

What is a live product

In the process of product shipment, the goods that need to be transported together with the battery and the product are called live products. What are the classification of live products, how to distinguish?

According to the type of battery used in the product, it is generally divided into three types:

1. Cargo with dry battery (with carbon core as electrode, common No. 5 battery);

2. The goods have lead-acid batteries (usually copper sulfate as the electrode);

3. Cargo with lithium battery (the most common type).

The above three types of live products need to pay attention to the international express transportation of chemicals:

A. For products with dry batteries, if shipping from the mainland, you need to send samples to an appraisal agency recognized by the Civil Aviation Administration of China to issue a "Cargo Transport Conditions Appraisal". Qualified products can be transported as ordinary goods. The battery in the product must be Insulate well; if you need to provide valid MSDS documents from Hong Kong, the batteries in the product must be insulated.

B. Goods with lead-acid batteries are generally rejected by airlines, and almost no products with lead-acid batteries are included in e-commerce products.

C. Cargo products with lithium batteries This is the most common product we encounter every day. We focus on the transportation requirements of products with lithium batteries.
